The Department for International Cooperation and International Legal Assistance of the Republic Public Prosecutor's Office issued in March 2019 the Public Prosecutor's Manual for handling cases of international legal assistance in criminal matters, with the support of the IPA 2017 project "Fighting Serious Crime in the Western Balkans".

Although the handbook is currently not an integral part of the General Mandatory Instruction O 1/16, by which the Republic Public Prosecutor's Office began the introduction of uniformity in the performance of public prosecution offices in the field of international law, until the revision of this instruction in 2022, the Republic Public Prosecutor's Office expects the consistent application of the text and good practices specified in this document during the processing of international requests.
